Photographer: Mon amour
CHAMPAGNE & HÔTEL DE LA MARINE. One of my favourite things about Paris is its endless selection of beautiful museums and art galleries, there is always something new to discover. One of the new places that we visited during this trip was Hôtel de la Marine, an iconic monument on Place de la Concorde and a fine architectural ensemble that Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the king’s chief architect, made in the 18th century. Until 1798, it housed the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne, before becoming the headquarters of France’s navy ministry for over 200 years. So much beauty and history in one place!
Before we went to Hôtel de la Marine we went to Hotel de Crillon which is located right next door for a glas of Champagne, it feels like the only right thing to do when you are about to experience such magnificient history and art. We took the big tour of the museum (You are guided through headphones) and the tour was so informative in a fun and creative way, they had done a great job with it. All in all, a must visit during your next Parisian weekend!

I can highly recommend you to visit Café Lapérouse in connection with the museum, a lovely spot to have a lunch or cocktail before visiting the museum.
They had been restoring Hôtel de la Marine for over 3 years before opening it this year to the public.
