Arrived in London at One Aldwych

One Aldwych is the building to the right!

ARRIVED IN LONDON AT ONE ALDWYCH. After a fast visit in Paris I took a flight over to London for business and pleasure. Most of the times when we have been in London we have stayed at hotels in Mayfair, Belgravia, Knightsbridge and South Kensington, so naturally we have spent more time discovering these areas in terms of cafés and restaurants. But I must also admit that I absolutely love South Kensington and Mayfair, I think they have such an excellent selection of restaurants and cafés! But this time around in London I wanted to stay in a new area where I haven’t spent as much time discovering yet so I checked in at One Aldwych in Covent Garden, just by the river Thames and all the theatres of London if you enjoy musicals. One Aldwych is a stunning 5 star luxury hotel with the service of a boutique hotel which I enjoy as you get more of that personal approach from the staff that I enjoy. Sometimes when you stay at a big luxury hotel you can sometimes feel like you drown in the crowd as a guest, which I don’t like at all, I love that feeling when the staff of the hotel takes care of you, almost like you are their child for the week. Covent Garden made such a positive impression on me, especially during the weekdays when it’s slightly less intense, I must say that the neighbourhood is very crowded during the weekend due to all the tourists (Me being one of them of course haha). But I understand why people want to be in this area, it offers all the cultural aspects of London, that have a excellent restaurant & café scene and the shopping is marvellous. But I wouldn’t recommend you to go shopping here during the weekends, a Tuesday afternoon is much better.

Covent Garden truly has blossomed during the last 3-4 years, before that Londoners didn’t really spend any time in this neighbourhood due to all the tourists but as more and more attractive restaurants & high end shops opened up here they started to come back and stay here even after work hours are done. I’m thinking about creating a guide to my favourite spots in Covent Garden, is this something you would be interested in reading more about? Let me know!

ARRIVED IN LONDON AT ONE ALDWYCH.

The stunning lobby & bar of One Aldwych!

A gorgeous building with a fantastic location in Covent Garden!

The lobby is so bright and spacious!

The backside of the hotel, just as stunning as the front!

Loved the floral arrangements!

Located right next to the Lion King theatre!

You can enjoy afternoon tea in the lobby inspired by Charlie and the chocolate factory!
