Afternoon tea at The Savoy in London

AFTERNOON TEA AT THE SAVOY IN LONDON. Tea is one of my huge passions in life, I always buy teas from our travels around the world to bring home to Stockholm. I bought this amazing new blend in Paris from Debauve & Gallais, it’s a new favourite blend of mine. So for me it is an utter bliss to be in London, the official city of tea drinking! I always make sure to book 1-2 afternoon tea experiences when I’m here, either to try a new spot that I haven’t been before or I go back to a personal favourite of mine. During this trip in London I booked a afternoon tea session at The Savoy, I have eaten at their restaurants before but I have never tried their afternoon tea experience so it was about time!

First of all, the interiors and exteriors of The Savoy is absolutely stunning and the hotel was established back in 1889 and you can feel its history as soon as you step in to the doors of the hotel. They have kept the classic feeling in terms of interiors but they have given everything a modern upgrade in terms of materials, colors and textures. Ludwig Hely is the executive pasty chef of The Savoy and he has created absolutely stunning pastries for the afternoon tea experience. The pastries were so freshly made and they were all absolutely divine! The finger sandwiched were so juicy and the scones were perfectly made and served with homemade jams and divine clotted cream! I tried 4 different tea blends during our sessions and their selection of tea is absolutely amazing, I tried 2 different black blends, 1 white tea and a rooibos tea.

I can highly recommend you to book a afternoon tea experience at The Savoy, everything from the service, to the setting, the tea selection to the pastries, scones and finger sandwiches are of the highest quality! They also have a live pianist playing during the entire afternoon which I love, it always make the experience even more memorable!

AFTERNOON TEA AT THE SAVOY IN LONDON.
