ARRIVED AT RAFFLES SINGAPORE. After travelling for 15 hours straight we arrived in Singapore and both Johan and I were so excited to discover this city! Something that I absolutely love about travelling to Asia is all the stamps that you get when you go through costums, we got 6 stamps each during our Singapore/Bali trip. It went very fast to go through costums so we arrived at the hotel with the taxi only 1 hour after landing. We checked in to Raffles, a beautiful colonial hotel that opened up back in 1887, one of the world’s oldest luxury hotels. This is also the hotel where they invented the now world famous drink ‘Singapore sling’.
When we arrived at the hotel they welcomed us with a Singapore sling, it was the first time that I ever tried a Singapore sling and it was so good, it’s such a well balanced cocktail! Even though we had gotten some great hours of sleep on the sleep both Johan and I felt a bit groggy/tired from travelling for such a long period of time and we decided to take a little nap in our room before it was time to get ready and go down to dinner!
ARRIVED AT RAFFLES SINGAPORE. Efter 15 timmars resande så anlände vi i Singapore och det kändes så kul! En sak som jag älskar med att resa till Asien är att man får så mycket stämplar, under hela vår Singapore/Bali resa så fick man 6 nya stämplar i passet, jag absolut älskar stämplar, tycker stämplarna i passet är ett minne i sig, lite kul att titta tillbaka på också. Det gick snabbt att ta sig igenom customs och sedan var det bara att hoppa in i en taxi och åka till vårt hotell. Vi checkade in på Raffles i Singapore som är ett otroligt vackert kolonialskt hotell från 1887, ett av världens första lyxhotell. Det var även på detta hotell som de uppfann the ‘Singapore sling’, som är en av världens mest välkända cocktails.
När vi anlände så välkomnade dom oss med en varsin Singapore sling, det är första gången jag någonsin har druckit en Singapore sling och den var fantastiskt fint balanserad, en riktigt välgjord drink! Även fast vi fick bra med sömn på flighten till Singapore så kände vi oss båda lite smått yra efter allt resande så vi bestämde oss för att gå till rummet för att ta en liten power nap innan det var dags att duscha och göra oss iordning för att äta middag!
