My bath ritual

Photographer: Mon amour

MY BATH RITUAL. I love to take long warm relaxing baths, it truly creates the sensation of total bliss and relaxation. I remember when I was younger and sometimes I fell asleep in the bathtub because I was so utterly relaxed. Taking baths is always something I take the time to do while we are traveling and especially during fashion weeks as the days are quite intense so it’s nice too take the time and rewind and just breathe.

Something I haven’t been that good with is to moisturize my body after showers and baths, water dries out your skin in a horrible way but I guess I have a pretty good skin as I have never noticed that my skin has been that dehydrated. But I have noticed the last couple of years that my skin gets affected by all the traveling! Since a couple of months back I have been trying the different body oils and showers gels to truly take care of my skin on the deepest level. I want to share my REN bathroom routine with you with the focus on how to nurture your skin on a deep level with a long term vision. All the moroccan rose products are created from the moroccan rose otto oil which is one of the most expensive and well known oil in the world. I hope you will find some new favourite products for your own skin!

MY BATH RITUAL.

REN Moroccan rose otto body wash – I always use this in the shower or in the bath to cleanse the skin and I love the smell. It has also won the Instyle best beauty buys 12 years in a row which is a pretty amazing track record.

REN Moroccan rose otto sugar body polish – I use this product a couple of times every month to peel off dead skin and leave my skin feeling super smooth, smelling a bit like roses and a little extra glow to it.

REN Moroccan rose otto body lotion – After I am finished with the bath or shower I make sure to add body lotion to my legs and arms. This is something I would do from time to time before but now I always do it. It creates such a difference in the glow of the skin and the skin feels well balanced and nurtured.

REN Moroccan rose otto ultra moisture body oil – If I am located in a very hot country where my skin needs extra pampering, before I moisturize it with body lotion I use this ultra moisture body oil which helps the skin to capsule the moist in the skin so it keeps being hydrated and glowing.

REN Moisture defence oil –  I don’t like to wear oily products in my face during the day but if I have taken a bath during the evening and I am ready to go to bed afterwards I will apply this defence oil on my skin. You apply it on before you add your night cream. You always add oil before a cream on your skin as oil goes down on a deeper level than cream does. What the oil does is that it balances the skin so it will become even, glowing and fully hydrated. It works excellent for skin that endures the cold weather that we have here in the Nordic countries.
