Sunday at The Ritz Paris

Spending a Sunday at The Ritz is always a good idea

SUNDAY AT THE RITZ PARIS. Johan and I are two old souls, loving the silver-fox life, enjoying a 3 hour long champagne lunch at The Ritz followed by a visit to the Louvre or any other museum for that matter is a perfect day in Paris in our eyes. Going home to the hotel room for a nap or a bath for that matter, listening to some music while getting ready for the evening. I have a never ending list of new places I want to try in Paris, we always make time for a couple of them but we also always want to go back to our classic spots. I love that about having been in a city so many times that you feel right at home, not feeling any stress about “having” to explore all the classic tourist places and so on. Paris and London are exactly that for me, especially Paris as I have lived here for 2,5 years of my life and travelled back here countless of times with Johan during the last 12 years. It feels like a home away from home and I love that.

The Ritz in Paris is one of those legendary places in Paris where we love spending time, there is such beauty all around, delicious food and chic people are all around, a perfect spot for people watching while enjoying a delicious meal. After we were done with our lunch we passed by the Ritz gift shop and bought some of my favourite Ritz tea blends to bring back home to Stockholm. We decided to walk back home through Jardin des Tuileries to our hotel in St Germain des Près, to walk off the food coma and get some fresh air. I changed from my heels to flats so I could walk home without breaking my feet into four pieces. As I’m already 177 cm tall you don’t see me in heels very often if it’s not an event or a special happening but I must say that I do like the feeling that a pair of heels bring to a look and I will start wearing heels more often during 2024. But I will forever be a ballerina girl at heart. The classic flat from Chanel is pure perfection in my opinion and elevates any everyday look into a timeless elegance.
