WALKING THE HIGH LINE. Johan and I are currently in Falsterbo, we have been here all weekend for a wedding, something you have been able to follow on my Snapchat @MalinRichardson. The couple had such an amazing luck with the weather, it has been a bit unstable the entire week but the shining sun came out for them! It was such a beautiful setting, I really love weddings, the concept of celebrating a couple’s love for each other is so beautiful! We had such a fun night, the dinner and party was held at Falsterbo Golf Club and we were up partying until the early morning!
Let’s go back to last week when we were in New York! I am so happy that the city of New York decided to keep The High Line, they were talking about tearing it down in the late 90ies but the railway got a second chance and was made in to a mid air park where you can enjoy a lovely walk and a stunning view over Hudson river and Meatpacking! Back in the days they used this railway to transport food between the different areas of New York without disrupting the ground traffic of New York. I love to take morning walks here, especially during the spring and summer season when it is luscious and green! We shot the second part of my latest project with Bolinder up on The High Line, for me this really represents New York and a big part of its history! It felt like the perfect spot to shoot these images!
WALKING THE HIGH LINE. Just nu befinner jag och Johan oss i Falsterbo där vi har varit på bröllop denna helg, något ni har kunnat följa på min Snapchat @MalinRichardson. Paret hade en sådan fantastisk tur med vädret och allt var underbart vackert! Jag fullkomligt älskar bröllop, konceptet att man firar någons kärlek tillsammans är så fint och vilken fest det blev, vi höll hus på Falsterbo Golfklubb och dansade in på småtimmarna!
Men låt oss förflytta oss till den föregående veckan då vi befann oss i New York! Jag är så glad att the city of New York valde att behålla The High Line, en järnväg som transporterade mat förr i tiden mellan de olika områdena i staden utan att störa vägtrafiken. Det pratades om att den skulle rivas i slutet av 90-talet men järnvägen fick en andra chans och gjordes om till en park. Något som jag tycker har tillfört otroligt till området samt att det är skönt att kunna komma upp lite från trafiken som pågår nedanför! Jag älskar att ta promenader här på morgonen när jag är här, speciellt under våren och sommaren då det är så grönt och frodigt! Vi fotograferade den andra delen av mitt senaste projekt med Bolinder uppe på The High Line, för mig kändes det självklart att fotografera bilderna på just denna plats då den betyder mycket för mig samt att den har en stor del i New Yorks historia och deras utveckling!
