LIFE AT BROWN’S HOTEL. Located in Mayfair on the beautiful Albemarle Street you will find Brown’s Hotel, a hotel with a stunning history, dating back all the way to 1837 when the doors of the hotel opened up. The first time Johan and I stayed at Brown’s was back in August 2013, we stayed in the beautiful Kipling suite, you can find that post here. A little side note that I haven’t talked about before is that when I moved my blog from Metro Fashion to my own server all the comments to the old posts disappeared, luckily the posts didn’t disappear, that would have been a nightmare! So now you know why the old post don’t have any comments, it felt a bit frustrating in the beginning when you get a technical difficulty like that but now I’m just super thankful that all the posts didn’t get deleted at the same time.

I always want to discover new hotels, I love to explore what’s happening in the city that I’m in, new hotels opening or the more historic ones, each property has its own story to tell and that’s what I love. I can truly miss some of the hotels that we have stayed at when I come back to Stockholm and Brown’s is one of those hotels that have a very dear place in my heart. There is something very special with Brown’s, you can feel the history in the air, it’s tangible. Only a few hotels have given me that feeling. With guests like Oscar Wilde, Arthur Conan Doyle, Napoleon III, JM Barrie and Alexander Graham Bell it’s quite understandable that this hotel has the ambience that it has. They recenty started a new creative concept with 4 nearby Mayfair art galleries. As a Brown’s guest you get the art gallery tickets for free and have full access during your stay but you can also buy a fabulous art tour experience together with Brown’s. You start in the lobby of Brown’s in the morning for a welcome coffee/tea, then you head out to the 4 different art galleries in Mayfair with a private guide taking you through all the art to then return to the hotel for a 3 course meal at HIX Mayfair, the whole experience cost £60.00. A fun and lovely experience to do while you are in London if you ask me, the best of 2 worlds, fabulous art and delicious food! The tickets must be booked in advanced via Brown’s Hotel. Första gången jag och Johan bodde på Brown’s var i August 2013, vi bodde i den gudomliga Kipling Sviten, här hittar ni det inlägget. En liten inflik som jag inte nämnt tidigare är att när jag flyttade bloggen från Metromode till en egen server så försvann alla kommentarer till inläggen, som tur är så försvann inte inläggen, det hade varit hemskt. Så det är därför alla gamla inlägg inte har några kommentarer längre utan enbart de nya. Det var lite frustrerande ibörjan när allt precis hade hänt, det blir ett stressmoment då min blogg är mitt jobb och arkivet är guld värt. Tekniska problem vill man undvika till allra högsta grad men nog om det.

Jag vill alltid upptäcka nya hotell då det är en stor del av mitt jobb men även fast jag älskar att upptäcka nya ställen så är det några hotell som min hjärta bankar lite extra för och Brown’s har blivit ett sådant hotell i London. Vissa hotell som vi har bott på kan jag verkligen sakna när jag är hemma i Stockholm och jag drömmer mig bort till dom hotellet titt som tätt. Brown’s har en sådant stark karaktär och en historia som gör sig så närvarande när man befinner sig här.  Med gäster som Oscar Wilde, Arthur Conan Doyle, Napoleon III, JM Barrie och Alexander Graham Bell. Brown’s Hotel har inlett ett kreativt samarbete med 4 konstgallerier i Mayfair dom deras gäster har fri tillgång till under deras vistelse på Brown’s. Men man behöver inte vara en hotellgäst på Brown’s för att kunna ta del av detta. Till ett pris av £60.00 så får man en heladag man sent kommer glömma, man möts upp 10.30 i lobbyn av Brown’s där man börjar dagen med te/kaffe för att sedan ge sig ut i Mayfair med sin privata guide för att besöka de 4 konstgallerierna, efter detta så återvänder man till hotellet där man sedan avnjuter en 3 rätters lunch på HIX Mayfair. En härlig aktivitet att göra när man befinner sig i London, the best of 2 worlds med vacker konst samt underbar mat! Biljetterna kan förbokas via Brown’s och de kommande datumen som man kan boka in sig på är den 17 September, 8 Oktober samt den 5 November.
