BRUNCH AT MARCHAL. Johan and I ate a brunch at Marchal at Hotel D’Angleterre while we were in Copenhagen. I have heard so much about it and it is currently fully booked until September this year so I just had to try it out to see what the buzz was all about. The selection of the brunch is perfect, they have everything that you can imagine that you would like to eat. They have a great à la carte menu to a buffé that have those delicious Danish pastries that you love, champagne, all sorts of different healthy juices to fruits, scrambled eggs with all kind of different garnishes. I could go on forever! You know my preferences in terms of food by now and of course I had to order their eggs benedict to try it out, wherever we go around in the world I always try their eggs benedict to know where in the world they serve the best one. Marchal had a very Scandinavian approach to their egg benedict, they served it on sourdough bread instead of a classic English muffin, they also had spinach on it and instead of ham they served it with prosciutto. I loved the eggs, they were perfect and the hollandaise sauce was just the way I like it! Johan and I both had a lovely experience here and everything from the selection of the food, the menu, the ambience, service and view synced perfectly! They get my stamp of approval for sure!
BRUNCH AT MARCHAL. Jag och Johan åt en brunch på Marchal på Hotel D’Angleterre medan vi var i Köpenhamn. Jag har hört så mycket kring den och den är fullbokad fram till September detta år så jag var helt enkelt tvungen att testa var allt buzz kom från. Utbudet på brunchen är helt perfekt, de har precis allt man vill ha. Från en trevlig à la carte meny till en buffé som erbjuder allt från mumsiga danska pastries till champagne och härlig frukt, härligt surdegsbröd och ljuvliga scrambled eggs. Precis allt det man vill ha erbjuder dom! Ni känner ju mina matpreferenser vid detta laget och vart vi än åker runt om i världen så beställer jag alltid in en eggs benedict, jag vill ha koll på vem som erbjuder den bästa. Den vi åt här hade en Nordisk approach till presentationen då den kom in på ett lite lätt rostat surdegsbröd istället för en Brittisk muffin. De serverade den på spenat och istället för skinka så hade dom en prosciutto. Jag gillade kombinationen, ägget var perfektion och hollandaisesåsen var precis så som man vill ha den, lagom rinnig och syrlig. Jag älskade även alla olika juicer och smoothies som de erbjöd, jag tog en hälsojuice på skogsbär medan Johan tog en mer tropisk variant som var riktigt smarrig! Jag förstår absolut hypen kring denna brunch, utbudet, utsikten, miljön, servicen och menyn – allt synkar helt perfekt! Jag ger den absolut min stamp of approval!
