Two Hands in New York

TWO HANDS IN NEW YORK. While being in New York we stayed at SIXTY Les, a design boutique hotel located on the lower east side. Why I booked this specific hotel was because of their outdoor pool, I saw on the weather reports that it would be between 27 – 30 degrees in New York every day so a pool is a must to be able to cool down from the heat! I also love living in this area, it is absolutely booming with so many lovely restaurants and cafés, this is the area you want to be in New York if you love food. I’m not too fond of eating breakfast at the hotel that we stay at while being in New York, even though it’s 4 or 5 star I haven’t been that impressed with the breakfasts at New York hotels, I always think they are over priced and it’s not value for money in terms of what you get. What you want to do is go out in the city and explore new cute cafés and go to a place that is specialised in breakfast food. Pretty much all the best breakfast spots in New York are owned by Australians which is quite logic as they have the best breakfast and brunch culture in the world. I can’t wait to go to Australia and eat my way through it!

One spot on the lower east side that Johan and I always come back to every time we are in New York is Two Hands, it’s Australian owned and I think most of the staff here are from Australia as well! They have lovely breakfast food, great prices, a really good value for money and the venue is light and cute, always super crowded and the ambiance is good. You can’t reserve a table here, it’s the first come, first served rule that is applied. I always order their acai bowl here, it’s just delicious, I also had their ricotta toast with raspberries and blueberries on top and as a beverage I had an iced matcha and a refreshing smoothie. I absolutely love it here, can’t wait until next visit!

TWO HANDS IN NEW YORK.
